Why buy a running business

Skip the two years it takes to get to profit.

A new shop spends its first months paying rent with no customers. A running one comes with the customers, staff, suppliers and licences already in place, and a track record you can check.

Verified

A seal that means someone actually went there.

Before a listing carries the Verified seal, our team visits the premises and checks six things. A second, senior team member signs it off.

How verification works
  • Owner identity
  • Sales evidence
  • Lease & landlord
  • Licences
  • Liabilities
  • Site visit

For sellers

Sell quietly. Your name stays private.

Staff, suppliers and competitors won't find out from a listing. Buyers see the category, area and ranges; everything that identifies you is released only after an NDA, and only when you agree to an introduction.

Everyone sees

  • Category & area
  • Asking price
  • Sales & profit ranges
  • Rent & lease term
  • Photos you approve

Only after NDA

  • Business name
  • Exact address
  • Actual monthly figures
  • Licence details
  • Your phone number

Buying or selling a business: your questions answered

How do I buy a running business in Pakistan?

Shortlist listings on BusinessForSale.pk and compare asking price, monthly profit, payback period, rent and lease. Sign in and accept the NDA on a listing to see the business name, exact address and actual figures, then send an enquiry. Our desk qualifies your interest, introduces you to the owner and guides due diligence, the sale agreement and handover.

What does the Verified seal mean?

Our team visited the business and checked six things: the owner's identity, sales evidence (POS exports, bank or wallet statements), the lease and landlord position, licences, liabilities, and the site itself. A senior team member signs off before the seal appears. It reduces risk but doesn't replace your own due diligence.

Can I see the business name and address before I buy?

Yes, after you sign in and accept a confidentiality agreement (NDA) on the listing. Sellers keep their identity private from staff, suppliers and competitors until a serious buyer has signed it, which is why the public listing only shows the category, area and ranges.

What do the payback period and annual return on a listing mean?

Payback is how many years of profit it takes to recover the asking price; annual return is the yearly profit as a percentage of the price. We calculate both from the middle of the stated monthly profit range. They're a quick way to compare deals, not a guarantee of future profit.

How are running businesses valued?

Most small running businesses are priced on seller's discretionary earnings (SDE) — profit plus the owner's salary and personal expenses run through the business — times an industry multiple, then adjusted for lease, licences, equipment and location. Stock is usually added at cost at handover.

Is stock included in the asking price?

Usually not. Stock is counted at handover and paid for at cost, separately from the asking price, unless the listing says otherwise. Near-expiry, damaged or obsolete stock should be excluded or discounted in the stock-take.

How do I sell my business in Pakistan?

Request a free valuation or list it yourself from your dashboard. Our desk reviews your figures and documents, can visit for the Verified seal, and publishes a confidential listing. We handle buyer enquiries, NDAs and introductions, and guide the agreement, stock-take and handover.

How much is my business worth?

Most small running businesses are priced on seller's discretionary earnings (SDE) — profit plus the owner's salary and personal expenses run through the business — times an industry multiple, then adjusted for lease, licences, equipment and location. Stock is usually added at cost at handover. Our quick estimate gives an indicative range in minutes; a detailed valuation uses your month-by-month sales, expenses and documents.

Will my staff, customers or competitors find out I'm selling?

Not from your listing. It shows the category, area and figures as ranges only. Your business name, exact address and contact details are shared only with buyers who accept an NDA, and only when you agree to an introduction.

Is the valuation free?

Yes, the quick estimate is free and there's no obligation. Our desk explains any fees for a detailed valuation or a successful sale before you commit to anything.

How long does it take to buy a business?

Typically a few weeks from first enquiry to handover, depending on due diligence, landlord consent and licence transfer. Simple share-of-shop deals can move faster; anything needing an authority's approval takes longer.
